WHAT IS CHEM BUILDING CAMPAIGN?
2006 CHEM (Choong Hyun English Ministry) Building Campaign is an
effort to rally our members to participate in relocating and renovating our
ministry
on
the 1st floor, southwest corner of our current building. In order to
accomplish this task, we need everyone to be sacrificial and contribute
towards our set financial goal. Our financial goal for this building
campaign is $360,000 respectively, with KM (Korean Speaking Adult Ministry)
targeting $5 million dollars towards their new sanctuary and needed
facilities.
WHY ARE WE INITIATING CHEM BUILDING CAMPAIGN?
For
any church to grow quantitatively and qualitatively it must be able to dream
and vision for the future. Without that ability, the church will become
just another institution and it will become stagnant. Scripture supports
this statement. Proverbs 29:18 states, “Where there is no vision, the
people perish.”
In order for our boundaries of dreams and vision to grow, we need
functional and
practical facilities that will grow together with the needs of the people.
Without it building a ministry for the future and being able to dream and
vision together will fail to prevail.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN CHEM BUILDING CAMPAIGN?
No
matter how young, how old, how rich or poor you are, we are asking for
everyone to take
this opportunity to act in
faith by prayer, pledges and contributions.
In Mark 12, the poor widow gave out of her
need, not out of surplus like the others and we believe God honored her for
it. We are asking for every member to contribute to partake in this
opportunity to sacrifice.
HOW CAN WE SUCCEED IN CHEM BUILDING CAMPAIGN?
In
EM we have about 100 faithful members and if we could
each pledge $100 a month for 36 months, we will be able to meet the goal.
That’s only $25 a week on top of what we are already giving
on a regular basis. We understand that
some people are not able, but we also believe that some can give more. Let
us be sensitive to
God’s voice and act accordingly with humble and sacrificial hearts.
WHEN DOES CHEM BUILDING CAMPAIGN BEGIN?
Our
pledge
dates will begin August 20th and end by end of August (August
20-27).
During these 2 weeks (on Sundays), we’ll be asking members (as well as
friends and families) to contribute and make pledges to meet our
goal of $360,000. So, let us pray (The
Prayer of Daniel) meanwhile, to hear the voice of God and
see what kind of challenges he is speaking to our hearts.
